Dream Builders Custom Properties is a luxury custom home building company in Ocean City, NJ and is a proud extension of NJ Dream Builders. Our founders Michel Waters and Elise Waters, built this company on a foundation of family values, dedication, and a commitment to excellence.

Michel and Elise Waters, the dynamic husband-and-wife duo behind NJ Dream Builders and Dream Builders Custom Properties, have brought together their diverse talents and passions to create a thriving business in both the custom home industry and home remodel industry.
Michel’s journey began in the culinary world, where he spent years mastering the art of cooking as a chef. However, his love for carpentry gradually grew from a hobby into a calling, leading him to apprentice with skilled custom home builders. Over time, Michel developed a deep understanding of the construction industry, which inspired him to establish NJ Dream Builders—a company dedicated to bringing clients’ visions to life with meticulous craftsmanship and unwavering passion.
Elise, with her background in fashion and marketing, cultivated her passion for design while working with renowned retailers such as Bloomingdales and BCBG Max Azria. Her interest in home décor naturally evolved into a focus on interior design, which became the perfect complement to Michel’s construction expertise. As Director of Operations, Elise manages the business’s administrative functions, while also using her keen eye for design to help clients realize their dream spaces.
After many successful years in remodeling, Michel and Elise recognized the potential to further specialize in creating custom homes. This led to the formation of Dream Builders Custom Properties (DB Custom Properties), allowing them to focus exclusively on building unique, personalized residences. Together, Michel and Elise embody the spirit of NJ Dream Builders, living by their motto: “You dream it. We build it,” as they continue to turn dreams into reality through their combined talents and dedication.

Estimate after esimate, company after company. We were not able to find a company who we thought was reasonable and fair for what we wanted. We were at a stand still, until one of our friends mentioned NJ Dream Builders. We reached out to them and the next day TJ came out and we him what our vision was. TJ took down the information and gave suggestions. Nj Dream Builders got back quickly with a estimate that matched what we were looking for. After we picked out everything we wanted, the crew came out within the week and got started. As the progress started we were amazed as the crew were efficient, hard working, and very friendly to work with.

We obtained quotes from several contractors and decided to hire NJ Dream Builders for our deck replacement. Not only did they give us the best price, Michael met with us and took our vision of what we wanted and made it so much better. When they started the job a team of 5 men arrived and went to work. What we thought would take 3 weeks to complete was done in just over a week. This company is very professional they kept us informed every step of the process. Dream Builders has been our "go to" for everything from minor home repairs to building a deck. They do such great work that people walking by our home continuously comment on how nice the deck looks. Mike Waters, owner, was on the job working and supervising our addition the entire time. He communicates, returns calls and texts, and is honest about pricing and finish dates. He has recently given estimates to three of our neighbors.
My husband and I had our powder room floor done recently. From start to finish we experienced nothing but professionalism. Mike, was timely, courteous and listened to some of the challenges we had and offered solutions. Jared and Tim installed the floor and by far they were the neatest, cleanest and most conscientious contractors we’ve ever had in our home. The day they cut and installed the tile they set up in the front yard and when they left for the day you would have never known they were ever here. Jared laid the tile in two different ways giving us a full visual on how it would look when it was done. He was absolutely meticulous in his craft and it showed in the finished product. We are so pleased with the outcome of our new tile floor and overall experience with NJ Dream Builders!! Thank you!
